When I was twelve years old, I was invited to attend a 7th & 8th Grade Boys Sunday School class at the church near my home. Even though I initially declined the offer, the prayerful persistence of that teacher eventually persuaded me to, as I thought to myself, “at least go and give it a try.” My life was forever changed! It was there that I first heard the good news about God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. That was over forty years ago, and I haven’t gotten over it yet!
I am married to my best friend, Leigh Ann, and together we have three children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and two precious grandchildren! Our prayer for First Baptist is that everyone who comes through the doors of our church will hear that same Good News!
