Wendy Patterson

I grew up in church and was saved and baptized at the age of nine. Faith and service have always been central to my life, and wherever I have lived, finding a church that serves its community and feels like home has been important to me. When I returned to Kingston, First Baptist Church became that place.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and began my career at the Tennessee Baptist Convention. I later earned my CPA license. My career has included accounting roles across a variety of industries, with my longest and most meaningful experience in senior living—an area that led to my continued involvement with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Before joining First Baptist Church in the fall of 2025, I spent eight years as a Customer Success leader for an accounting technology company, bringing together my love of numbers and helping others succeed. Serving at First Baptist feels like my career coming full circle. I assist with all accounting functions and am grateful for the opportunity to use my skills in service to the church, our community, and ultimately our Lord.
Outside of work, I enjoy baking, trying new recipes, staying active, working on my CFO advisory business, spending time with family, needlepoint, reading, and traveling – so keep an eye out for me running around Kingston.
